Chinedu Stanley Amadi is a Nigerian geologist with 15 years’ experience in exploration, production and unconventional resources in the petroleum sector. He is an active real estate investor with over 7 years’ experience and currently the Director of Operations in DuKAN Group which consist of DuKAN Stanley Limited, DuKAN George Limited and DuKAN Michelle Nig. Limited.

He is pioneering the family heritage estate known as Vino Estate Gardens and Homes (VEGAHs) to solve the accommodation challenges in Nigeria.

Chinedu is a strong contributor to the growth and development of Nigerian youths in offering free seminar and training in various disciplines.

Chinedu graduated with a first class degree in Geology from Federal University of Technology Oweri (FUTO).       He also has a masters degree in Structural Geology from the university Leeds UK . He is currently running his PhD program in Unconventional resources.

Chinedu started his career with Exxon Mobil Nigeria, and helped build hydrocarbon distribution chart for JV Mobil acreage which was utilized in pay behind pipe ranking of JV assets, to plan and prioritize drill-well efforts.

He also played a prominent role in building a core database for all Mobil JV cores and ditch cuttings for field study work used to enhance understanding of various depositional environments and accelerate field development efforts.

Chinedu was actively involved in the Texas Metro basins analysis for shale gas; analyzing Geochemical and Geological principles to evaluate targeted reservoirs.  He was also involved in the daily drilling operations and drawing up coring programme for drilled wells. His successful study in Texas metro basin identified significant resources in tight reservoir for future horizontal well development opportunities. Results of his shale gas study was presented at 2011 NAPE conference in Lagos, Nigeria.

Chinedu Amadi joined Nexen, UK and championed the first petrography workshop for Buzzard Field, North Sea basin UK, with the impact of enhanced understanding of reservoir characterization across the 1 billion barrels Nexen’s Buzzard Field. He was an asset Geologist for Nexen’s unconventional resource CBM project in Liverpool, UK and safely drilled 3 CBM wells to progress Nexen’s campaign for cleaner energy from coal gas.

Chinedu understudied Nigeria inland petroleum basins for possible unconventional resource and reported his findings at the 2014 NAPE conference.

With deep knowledge of Geoscience software applications, Chinedu currently provide support to over 90 Geoscientist using software like Petrel, Geox, Geoframe IESX and SEAP. He has developed best practices workflows enabling the team to take advantage of available technology to maximize production and trained over 35 Geologist on basic and advanced Petrel training, modifying training package to suit business needs.
